Football is classified as a "Head Count Sport", which means that the football scholarships that are offered are traditionally “Full Ride” since whether the percentage is 5% or 100% it is counted as one scholarship.

There are 117 Division IA, 118 division 1AA and 150 Division II colleges that offer football scholarships. The NCAA allows each Division I football programs 85 scholarships {I-A} and 63 scholarships {I-AA}. In Division II, 36 are available
